Super Bowl 40 = Ass
What a lousy game. Questionable calls, bad kicks, dropped passes. The Steelers didn't win the Super Bowl as much as Seattle lost it. The refs killed momentum with crappy calls and handed Pittsburgh a free touchdown right when they needed it. Meanwhile Stevens dropped 3 passes, Brown missed 2 field goals, and Jackson only got 1 foot inside the goal line. Did they forget what game this was?
It was a fantastic season to be sure, but what a pathetic finish. As we say in Seattle: Maybe next year...
Update: Great quote from Mike Holmgren:
"We knew it was going to be tough playing against the Steelers," Holmgren said at a Qwest Field rally this afternoon. "I didn't know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well."
