My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts
This site has been posted about here and there over the last few weeks, but I finally sank my teeth into it. Fantastic.
I listened to this album growing up (thanks to my dad) and it remains one of my top ten favorite albums of all time. Before people even considered what sampling was, Bynre and Eno paved the way with this seminal masterpiece. I have this on vinyl, CD, and I plan to purchase the new iTunes remix.
It's a classic. If you are unfamiliar with the work get a copy and listen to it with headphones. Then imagine the timeframe. This thing came out at the same time as "Take It On The Run" by REO Speedwagon.
In keeping with the original concept of the album, Byrne and Eno are offering all the tracks from the album for free under a creative commons license. Musicians are now able to rip and sample all parts of the album freely.
That kicks ass. Give away everything you know, and more will come back to you. My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts

Hey Dale. My pleasure. It’s a great album. The only problem with the newer versions of the album is that it’s missing one song. The song Qu’ran was removed under pressure from Islamic groups because it used sampled verses of the Qu’ran itself. It’s too bad, because it was a great track. Let me know if you need a copy of it.

I’m not familiar with this at all, but thanks for turning me on to it.
