I just returned from the Sia show down at The Showbox and I gotta say: Sia kicks ass! I saw her earlier this summer at Bumbershot with Jose Gonzalez and the Zero 7 gang and I am now convinced she is the world’s most honest singer. She’s the real deal. She played a few new tunes from a forthcoming album, a bunch of Zero 7 favorites, and plenty from her last album too.
Her opening band was The Bird And The Bee and I’ve been following them for a month or so via KCRW and they are shaping up to be my new favorite band. It really made for a great night of music. This week’s pick is from The Bird And The Bee’s latest EP Again and Again and Again and Agian. Look for their full album early next year.
