Favorite Films of 2006
I watch everything on DVD so I’m kind of behind a bit.
That’s all I can come up with. Pretty lame. I guess I should get to the theater more often.

I’ve been meaning to catch Brick. Loved The Proposition - particularly the madness of the lead brother. I recommend The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. There must be another 20 or so I could also mention, but I did not make a list. Intacto is good fun (and several years old).

Yeah, I never got around to seeing half the movies I wanted to this year. Brick is great, so check it out for sure. I just saw A Scanner Darkly and was wondering if I should update the list or not. It was an interesting story but not sure if they pulled it off properly. I did like the animation and Robert Downy Jr. was great.
I’ll check out Three Burials—looks good from the IMDB site.

I have seen some others lately that I can also recommend: Everything is Illuminated, Green Street Hooligans, The US Vs John Lennon, 28 Days Later (finally saw it), Winter Soldiers, and The Descent (I can be a sucker for a decent to good horror movie…maybe this one was effective because I saw it on the big screen).

Yes indeed. The Proposition was a rare gem of an indy I stumbled on the other day. So damn good.
And on a side not I thought you would dig these shirts:
