As horrifying as it is to see people post bad food photos on their blogs,... just wait until you see a chef post something as bad or worse for their restaurant, or worse, you're 'encouraged' to use one of those terrible shots to create a magazine ad! As soon as your talk comes out on video I have a list of about three dozen people who will receive it in their work in-box's. THANK YOU! As an illustrator, I've found that just putting pen to paper as quickly as possible gets the best results. If I think too much the results are awkward and contrived. When I just start scribbling, and let the forms evolve, in real time, on the paper. That's the good stuff. The same is true for many parallel exercises. Don't think, just do make!
